Going to dinner during the Paseo Art Walk this evening 6-8PM? If so, swing by Street Smarts Studios & Gallery to see us first at our 'First Friday Open House,' 5-7PM.

The gallery contains more art in one location than in any other gallery on the Paseo. Actually, we have more art and artists than two or three (or four) galleries combined.

Meet the artists, see new art and have a few snacks and w**e before your meal.

We're also have a book signing this evening with local author Trey Hays.

Come see what people are talking about – happy people doing happy, creative things at Streets Smarts Studios and Gallery.

Looking forward to seeing you!

Robert ‘J.R.’ Daniels, a resident artist at Street Smarts Studios and Gallery has been in the business of creating and selling art a long time. A very long time.

He’s always searching and prospecting for new avenues of exposure. As a result of his relentless efforts, his work has graced book covers, magazine covers and countless online E-Zines. This morning, he was presented with another sale.

One of his pieces was selected to grace the home screen of Atomic Apps. They offer an interactive custom map maker tool that lets you turn any image into a personalized, clickable map with custom pins, notes, and categories. His art will grace their publicity efforts in many ways for many years to come.

They saw his art on one of his targeted posts and found their guy. They talked, made a deal – another sale was made and another credit acknowledged for J.R.

Nothing happens until two people talk to each other. Remember that, and nothing will happen if you don’t reach out every day to somebody. Don’t fret over ‘likes’ or ‘shares’ or ‘comments.’ Just let people know you create on as many platforms as you can. It takes time, it takes effort but keep it up – good things will happen.

Want to talk about it some more? Come to the gallery, have a cup of something hot and let’s explore opportunities.

We scheduled our First Friday Open House from 5-7PM for a reason.

The Paseo First Friday Art Walk is 6-8PM. Come see us FIRST on First Friday – you still have time to walk up and down the Paseo and get some dinner.

If I can see art at the Paseo why go to Street Smarts Gallery?

How about seeing award winning art from thirty award winning artists all in one building. Not to mention the variety of clay figures, pottery, prints and gifts. Again – all in one building.

Don’t get me wrong, the Paseo is a cool hip place to stroll and maybe get a meal. (After you walk three blocks to get there you’ll need to eat). At Street Smarts Gallery you can eat, drink w**e and walk only one block to reach our doors. And it’s free. Plus, you may have heard, the USA Today vote conducted by The Oklahoman puts us as the #1 privately owned art gallery in the city - #1.

Come see what everyone’s talking about. Meet the creators – the makers, and immerse yourself with some of the nation’s best art at Street Smarts Studios and Gallery, on Friday, September 4th from 5-7PM

One thing a little different this First Friday, is the addition of a book signing. Meet Trey Hays. You’ll like Trey, your like his book and his laid back, I get-along-with-everybody vibe. No book - no problem - he has book. Don’t want a book? No problem - we have art and gifts and new and old friends waiting for you.

Happy people doing happy things with friends.

Boy, these guys need a new 'headshot' pic.

Hey artists, authors, even you suited up business people - Need a 'headshot' photo for bio, LinkedIn, etc., Mallory Wolfe is a genius with a camera. Her studio is on the corner of NW 33 & N. Villa (across the street from Street Smarts Studios and Gallery). Sit for 10 minutes, she takes multiple shots, then works her magic - you get your choice of the pics taken, color or B&W. She made one pic of me, a shaggy haired old dude look good. I can't determine if its a bank president or a villain in a James Bond movie! (See a pic in the first comment).

Resident Artist, Diane Goldschmidt reminded me it's time for the Halloween art & gift items to come out. Holy cow time has flown. She’s in the process of making quite a few ‘smalls’ for her studio space at the gallery. I’ll dust off Edgar, our Halloween mascot mannequin and get him ready to greet art lovers as they enter.

Most of the other artists at the gallery will be bringing in their one-of-a-kind holiday items too, especially Soni Parsons. She’s the cauldron stirrer at the gallery and knows how to put on a Halloween display! Come see them and more at our First Friday Open House September 4th.

Cards, prints, clay items and of course painted works on canvas ready to take home.
