You will see all new displays created by Georgene Wright and Judie Pouley, our incredible volunteers. Georgene and Judie have special open houses planned once a month all the way until Home for the Holidays.

We are so appreciative of the support from MOOG and the Orrville High School seniors for their hard work and dedication to improving our historical society grounds and homestead!!!! Thank you to the Orrville Area United Way, and Orrville Area Chamber of Commerce, for all your effort in making the annual Day Of Caring a huge success!!!

Our Carriage House got a bit of landscaping for spring! The stones that were found on the property were beautifully laid in place by Pouley and Cruz Landscaping, who donated their time creating this look. They also, planted small shrubs donated by Gene and Judie Pouley. The yard decoration is actually a 'Corbel' from the old Manhattan Restaurant that was rescued from the demolition.

Is Corbel the proper term for this type of metal decoration used on old buildings? Does anyone know? Older buildings used them in many styles, normally around the rooftops.

The Orrville American Legion Steak Fry was tonight! We would like to thank the Legion and all the members for hosting this fundraiser for The Orrville Historical Society. Our board members were on hand to help serve up a great meal and a good time! Plus our 50/50 raffle winner! It was a beautiful day capped off by a great meal for a good cause.
