Nickerson-Rossi Dance returns to Palm Springs Art Museumโ€™s Annenberg Theater with Male Aesthetic, exploring the male form beyond the surface and revealing its beauty, and vulnerability through dance, live vocals, and visual art. The evening invites audiences to reconsider how masculinity can look, move, and feel.

This performance continues the new partnership between Palm Springs Art Museum and Nickerson-Rossi Dance to bring performing arts to the Annenberg Theater.

Nancy Ocegueda Nancy Ocegueda hand carves designs inspired by Dรญa de los Mu***os onto woodblocks. Using a large-scale print press, layer your own designs and letters on a bandana to create a unique pattern.

Jose Luis Ledezma Aguatl Es Vida invites guests to bring a colibrรญ to life by decorating their own paper mรขchรฉ mask, then explore a variety of string, keyboard, percussion, and free reed aerophone instruments.

The 2026 Artist Altars are designed by Neveah Marquez, Yehsiming Jue, Jacqueline Valenzuela Jacqueline, and Jesus Olivares.

Artwork of the Month: October

Luis Flores uses his own likeness to create life-sized sculptures from hand-crocheted yarn. Soft and almost like oversized stuffed animals, his figures challenge expectations of how men should act and express emotion.

In ๐˜ˆ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฃ๐˜ช๐˜ท๐˜ข๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ค๐˜ฆ the figuresโ€™ gestures suggest surprise and hurt, while their relationship remains unclear. Flores uses the softness of crochet to explore masculinity, vulnerability, and the limits placed on emotional expression.

On view in Found Objects and Objects in Art, the newest presentation of works from the museumโ€™s permanent collection, in the Steve Chase Wing on the third floor.

Join architectural historian Steven Keylon for a look at the projects that exist only on paper. Through original drawings and photographs of models, explore what Kaptur envisioned, why these buildings were never built, and how they might have shaped the city.

Following the presentation, Hugh Kaptur will join Steven in conversation and an audience Q&A.*
