I started out at a Michaels in Pennsylvania and then I began working at a high-end gallery and learned the real ins and outs of picture framing and design and not just assembly. For obvious reasons, this is still one of my favorite pieces. I love when other people create drawings of doggies doing crazy things just like I love to do! And I love this aqua blue mat and yellow frame we picked for it. Just helps bring out all the bright summer happy vibes!

Gnome House and Gnome Clay Class

Students in grades 1-6 can join Libby and Jody in the clay studio to create a Gnome House and Gnomes in this 2 part clay class. Participants will build their house and their gnome(s) on the first day then glaze on the second day a week later. These may be picked up after they are fired. We will notify you when they are ready.

Date/Time: Tuesday, June 23rd, 1-3 pm and Tuesday, June 30th, 1-2 pm

Register by Thursday for Pique Assiette – Broken Plates Mosaic Flower Pot at the link below.

In this three-part introductory workshop, adults and teens will use "Pique Assiette" (broken plates) to create a mosaic on a flower pot. You will learn the basics of cutting and breaking ceramic pieces, attaching them to the pot using thinset, and finishing the project with grout and sealer. You’ll leave with a decorated flower pot and the beginnings skills needed to start exploring mosaic art on your own.

Dates/Time: Saturdays, June 6-20th, 10:30-12:30 p.m.
Cost: $90 (PAC Members receive 20% discount).

Up next for Art on the island is Summertime rock painting with Tracy Love!

Join Tracy for an artsy adventure creating beautiful acrylic mini rock paintings perfect for summer! We will create a sunset scene, a water/sun illustration, a watermelon and a fish! Take the 11am boat. Your registration here includes your boat ride and they will have a list at check-in. Snacks welcome or purchase from the snack bar there. Afterwards, enjoy some time on the Island! Adults and teens, Ages 14+. Parents accompanying will need to purchase an additional Ferry Ticket at the Island Museum office. 8 students.
