Catastrophe looms ahead for mankind, but key historical figures like Methuselah and Noah play an important part in God’s amazing plan.

An animatronic Methuselah explains what happened to Adam’s descendants after the Corruption and warns about the next C of history.

Methuselah is best known as the person with the longest recorded lifespan — 969 years. His life overlapped portions of the lifetimes of both Adam and Noah, and it’s possible that he met both men, especially Noah, who was his grandson. A chart can be seen in this room showing the lifespans of the pre-Flood patriarchs.

According to the information provided in Genesis 5–7, we learn that he actually died in the same year that the Flood began.

The numerous effects of sin are clearly illustrated in our Corruption Valley exhibit. The lush beauty and peace of the Garden of Eden is gone. Adam now must work hard in the fields for his food, toiling against weeds, thorns, and thistles. An animatronic dinosaur eats a fresh kill (animals are no longer vegetarian, as they were in the Garden). Death is now a daily part of life in this fallen world.
