ek Living Historical Farm provides a unique opportunity to learn about our rural past. Horne Creek Living Historical Farm is a working farm with livestock, poultry, dogs and cats. No pets other than service animals are allowed on the grounds.

We’re celebrating spring with a special tea, perfect for sharing with your mother, daughter, granddaughter, or best friend. Spaces are still available for our Spring Victorian Tea on April 25th, 2026, from 2:00 pm -4:00 pm at Horne Creek Farm State Historic Site.

Linger in comfort while we treat you to an afternoon of satisfying savory bites, baked goods, and sweet treats, along with a lovely spot of tea!

Spend the time visiting with dear friends or making new ones as we partake in the tradition of High Tea. Bring your laughter and unravel the history, sample the flavors, and experience an afternoon of pure enjoyment while celebrating the beauty of Spring!

Festive Tea attire is encouraged but not necessary. A variety of accessories will be available to purchase at the tea.

This event is sponsored by the site's non-profit, the North Carolina Living Historical Farm Committee. Pre-Registration is required.

Pardon us for butting in on your timeline- we have an important update!

Horne Creek Farm will be closed this week (April 21-24) to take care of some site maintenance.

The site (and the goats) look forward to welcoming visitors back at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 25.

Temporary Closure: Horne Creek Farm will be closed April 21-24, 2026, for site maintenance. The site will reopen to visitors at 9 am on Saturday, April 25. We apologize for any inconvenience!

Horne Creek Farm State Historic Site will be closed on April 3rd, we will reopen on Saturday, April 4th at 9 am.

2025 Christmas by Lamplight, December 11th and 12th

Experience the warmth of a rural turn-of-the-century Christmas. Caroling, a make-and-take craft, and readings from the period will be featured. Light meal included.

Thursday the 11th and Friday the 12th will feature two sessions each evening. This is not a program recommended for children under 11 years of age.

Tickets are now available. Fee: $30 plus tax per person.
You'll need reservations; no walk-ins will be allowed.
