Rockwell Kent collector and friend of the Museum Ralf Nemec stopped by to share this newly acquired poster illustrated by Kent.

Released in 1934, Nana was produced by Samuel Goldwyn, directed by Dorothy Arzner, and starred Anna Sten in the titular role. It had a record-breaking opening weekend at Radio City Music Hall.

The Plattsburgh State Art Gallery has combined collaboration with collections, turning the Slatkin Study Room into a working laboratory for three faculty members and their students through the exhibit, “Object Lessons: Lines, Place, Persuasion.”

Drawing from a life of observing and exploring nature, his work examines human relationships with the natural world and the entanglement of all living things. His layered compositions combine painting, drawing, printmaking and collage to tell stories about the ecological history and key characters of unique regional landscapes.
