The small octagon-shaped breakfast room is said to have been E.W.'s favorite. The wall's plaster relief represents the Tree of Life and the sconces are English hunting scenes. The outdoor staircase is visible through the east window. The Latin inscription on the balcony, loosely translated, reads: "A man's home is his castle."
