Glow-up alert for Leopard Seal!

This juvenile green sea turtle arrived from Flagler Beach on February 4, 2026, extremely emaciated and lethargic, weighing just 1.75 kg (3.85 lbs). With supportive care including antibiotics, IV nutrition, vitamins, and fluid therapy, Leopard Seal slowly began to turn the corner.

By February 14, they were eating a healthy variety of fish and leafy greens and continued gaining strength each day. After months of rehabilitation, Leopard Seal more than doubled their weight, reaching 3.3 kg (7.26 lbs).

Now healthy and strong, Leopard Seal has been released back into the waters of Flagler County. Safe travels, little one!

Today is Reef Awareness Day! Our Working Coral Lab is one of our lesser-known exhibits, where we grow and study coral under different lighting conditions. Every reef matters, and every step toward understanding them helps protect these incredible ecosystems. 🪸
