LoKo Arts Festival The LoKo Arts Festival at SUNY Potsdam features theatre, dance, music performances, visual arts, creative writing and guest artists.

The Lougheed-Kofoed Festival of the Arts at SUNY Potsdam include theatre, dance, vocal and instrumental performances, visual arts, creative writing, and guest artists. The Festival is made possible by the generosity of Kathy (Kofoed) ’54 & Don Lougheed (Hon.’54),

The Festival encompasses all forms of artistic expression, with an emphasis on cross-disciplinary artistic experiences and will take place each year in the spring.

Join us for the annual Crane School of Music Spring Festival concert, Friday, May 1, at 7:30pm in Hosmer Hall, featuring Beethoven's "Ode to Joy," the final movement of his 9th Symphony.

The Crane Symphony Orchestra and Crane Chorus will be led by 2026 Dorothy Albrecht Gregory Visiting Conductor Miguel Harth-Bedoya. The public is also invited to a pre-concert conversation and Q&A with Maestro Harth-Bedoya at 3pm in the Performing Arts Center Proscenium Theatre.

The Dorothy Albrecht Gregory Visiting Conductor is made possible by the fund established by Dorothy Albrecht Gregory '61, and the Adeline Maltzan Crane Chorus Performance Tour Fund, established by Dr. Gary C. Jaquay '67. LoKo Arts is made possible by the generosity and artistic vision of Kathryn Kofoed Lougheed '54 and Donald Lougheed (Hon. '54).

We cannot believe that May is already almost here... Help us kick off this season of flowers, sunshine, and PLEIN AIR at our LoKo Plein Air Day!

The May 1st event at SUNY Potsdam is free for the community to attend, bring your own art supplies, create and submit for a chance to win prizes.

There are supplies for college students and youngsters to try their hand at watercolors, oil pastels, and urban sketching.

Schedule of the day includes:
8:00am - stamping for the public begins
9:00am - 1:00pm - painting for the public, college students, and school groups attending

1:00pm - turn in your work for exhibition and judging!

3:00pm - 4:30pm is a public showcase in the Barrington MPR... whether you are a plein air artist or not... come out and vote for your favorite people's choice award!

Prizes will be awarded at 4:30pm!

We hope to see you all there!

This spring, the incredible Raquel Acevedo Klein '16 has returned to campus for a multiweek artistic residency, classroom collaborations and a culminating public concert on April 18!

Klein's exhibition in the Gibson Gallery is on view until April 17, during the gallery's regular hours from Wednesday to Friday, 1 to 6 p.m., and on Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m.

This week! Come contribute your voice to the improvisational adventure that is the Festival of Circlesongs, inspired by American vocalist Bobby McFerrin! Starting Thursday, the 18th, David Worm and Joey Blake; two of McFerrin’s long-time singers and faculty, will be leading the collective musical experience of call and response singing circles.
