The Brookhaven Town Volunteer Firefighters Museum was founded as a non-profit educational facility and museum whose purpose is to enhance the public's knowledge of the history of volunteer firefighting by preserving artifacts of Firefighting.

Yesterday the Brookhaven Town Volunteer Firefighter’s Museum Hosted the Long Island Antique Fire Apparatus Association meeting. Total of 36 Members in attendance from both Suffolk and Nassau counties. Members also Toured the Museum and the grounds of Firefighters Park. A Great time was had by all

Thank you all who attended last nights meeting. Few important dates upcoming

April 26th we are hosting the Long Island Antique Fire Apparatus meeting 9am.

May 2nd 9am Flags will go up on all department monuments.

May 17th 10am our Annual Memorial Service. Letters will be going out this week

We are looking for Volunteers to help at the museum to up keep on maintenance of the buildings. As well as finish cleaning out the old hooper shop to make way for a new maintenance building.

The next General Membership meeting of the Brookhaven Town Volunteer Firefighters Museum is Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at the Museum in Ridge. Meal is at 7pm with the meeting to begin at 7:30pm. All Brookhaven Town Fire Department representatives are encouraged to attend. See you all then.
