Congratulations to Vicki Sharratt! She gave the correct answer that the bells on the tree represent the 10 bells that Marrietta Pickering Hay gave to the village of Sackets Harbor in memory of her family. Thank you to all who participated! We will see what other shannigans we can come up with this winter. Happy holidays to all!

Here's the Pickering Beach family Christmas tree. Do you know what the tree ornaments represent in the family's history? Hint: bows are just decorations. Send your answer to [email protected]. This print of the Pickering house is the prize for the correct answer. If we get more then one correct guess, we will draw names for the prize.

Hey followers and friends! We have a Christmas contest going on. Stop by and check out our Christmas tree in the front window. If you know what the ornaments on the tree represent in the Pickering Beach family history, sent us an email at [email protected] with your answer. Contest goes to December 24th when we will award our prize to the correct guess. If there is more then one correct guess, we will draw a name from the correct responses. Live out of town? We are open today with a tour bus from NJ in town. That's October 8 from noon to 3pm to put away our quilts and close up for the season.

Last day of the Quilt Show! The museum will be open from noon to 4pm with some of our quilt collection on display. Volunteer Diana has finished her summer project of polishing the Beach silver. Stop by and see these featured items before we close for the season.
