We’re excited to announce, Dreams in the City, a debut solo exhibition by San Francisco photographer Beata Kaczmarek.

February 7 - March 15, 2026

Opening & Artist Reception: Feb 7, 5-7 PM
Artist Talk & Book Signing: Feb 28, 2 PM

Beata Kaczmarek is a photographer with a deep love for San Francisco and a passion for capturing fleeting moments. Originally from Poland, she moved to the city in 2014 and has since explored it on foot, slowly making it home. Living in neighborhoods such as the Sunset District, Forest Hill, Diamond Heights, Glen Park, and North Beach has shaped the way she sees and photographs the city. As an immigrant, she approaches San Francisco with curiosity and appreciation, drawn to its light, texture, and quiet beauty. Through her photography and her popular Instagram account, sf.beforesunset, Beata shares an intimate, observant view of the city she continues to fall in love with.

Our annual retrospective exhibitions usually review the past 12 months. Retrospective 18, is different in that it’s an overview the past 18 years. It’s also the first time we’ve done any type of fundraising. 47 incredible local artists generously donated their work in support of sustaining the gallery through 2026. While some of pieces have sold, and many are currently in the bidding process, there are still many wonderful pieces available at 50% of their valued price. You can view the entire auction catalog by clicking the link in our bio.

We encourage you to come by and view the exhibition, of over 90 pieces, in person before it ends this Sunday 1/11 at 6 pm. The auction continues online ending later that night at midnight. Swipe through to view some of the great pieces that are still available.
