A closer look at new works by Patrick Dean Hubbell (Diné), featured in the group exhibition As We Have Always Been.

Brining natural pigments and synthetic materials into conversation, Hubbell builds layered compositions that consider relationships between land, material, memory, and place.

His use of both earth-derived and manufactured materials creates a compelling tension within the work, reflecting a practice rooted in place while distinctly contemporary.

A closer look at Hank Saxe: Micro/Macro, Inside/Outside.

Saxes new body of ceramic work takes shape through two distinct but connected visual languages. One looks outward, with works that recall cartography, topography, and geological formations at an expansive scale. The other looks more closely at the material itself, its textures, behaviors, and transformations through heat.

Moving between the intimate and the global, Micro/Macro considers the many scales at which we encounter and understand the material landscape.
