New Arrival "Evening Hues of Pedernal Mesa" is such a magical moment in color. John Rasberry’s landscape oil paintings invoke traditional representational art at its finest. He is inspired by landscapes, people at work and scenes of everyday life. “I paint what I love – dramatic lighting on landscapes and lifescapes,” says John.

“Capturing the ‘golden hour’ of the morning and evening light or the mood of a foggy morning or stormy afternoon is everything. That moment can be elusive and may only last a few seconds. It can disappear and reappear like magic. It’s my inspiration. I strive to capture and convey that sense of place along with the feeling of that moment. My hope is that when people view my paintings they will feel that fleeting moment and share my experience. When I hear someone say ‘I feel like I’ve been there,’ I know I have made a connection and communicated my experience through my art.”
