Surface Design Weekend: From Drawing to Sgraffito

Join EJ and Anthony for a two-day workshop exploring drawing, underglaze, and sgraffito techniques.

Day one focuses on beginner-friendly drawing and underglazing techniques. Day two covers sgraffito carving on greenware. All skill levels are welcome.

The workshop fee includes one bisque tile, one greenware piece, materials, tools, and firing.

If you’re a local artist or studio without kiln access or you just need some extra firing support, we’re here to help!

Paseo Pottery offers Cone 10 kiln firings and kiln rentals for both members and non-members. Non-members can take advantage of our bisque and glaze firings at just $0.14 per cubic inch, with both firings included.

We also offer full kiln rentals for artists and studios needing extra space or an entire kiln.

Join us tomorrow from 5-8 PM at Paseo Pottery to view our newest gallery exhibition.

“Waiting for Rain” responds to the New Mexico summer and the long stretch of heat before the monsoon arrives. The work explores themes of water, cooling, and relief through color, surface, and form, with palettes of blues, grays, and storm-toned neutrals, and surfaces that suggest pooling, dripping, erosion, and repair.

Enjoy snacks, beverages, and beautiful pottery.
