My latest off the easel this week, a 24"X18", oil/canvas of the western bygone era. Will let it set a week or two, give it a bit of drying time, then come back and hit those areas that need a little extra attention, a few are still to wet to finish..."The End of the Drought". Thanks to my models, Daryl, Jane and Allyson! Without my wonderful models the work could not be done!

Wanted to catch everyone up that follow my art activities. Had some very good news to share from the American Plains Artists Annual Show and Sale held at the Pearce Museum a week or so ago. I was honored and humbled on Thursday evening the 16th of October at the APA reception. I had three works accepted into the show and each received special recognition. "Whirling Dervish" received a Publisher's Award from Western Art Collector Magazine; "The Art of Conversation" received an Exhibition Award from the Pearce Museum for a One Man Show; and "Espuelos de los Vaqueros #7 received and Honorable Mention. These works are for sale and you can contact the Pearce Museum if you are interested in adding to your personal fine art collection. I want to say thank you to the Museum Staff and Director for their outstanding efforts to make this show memorable. The show will be up through January 5, 2026 so if you find yourself in Corsicana, TX please stop by.

It is always an honor to be juried into the Bosque Art Classic in Clifton, Texas. My appreciation goes out the Staff and Crew there at the Bosque Art Center and big Texas thank you to CAA member Bruce Greene for jurying my work into the show! We will be looking to see you in attendance opening weekend of September 12th. All work in the show is for sale! I'm very pleased that "Scorpio" and "Distant Thunder" are included in this year's Classic! , ,

Welcome to October and hopefully a bit of cooler weather; I know I would like to be able to turn my A/C off for a few days and save on electricity!
