In Louisiana, much of our history contrasts with what we learn in school.

For example, paragraph 5 of Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation specifically exempts Union-occupied New Orleans and the sugar producing parishes from emancipation.

Hear about other ways that Louisiana is a world apart on our "Story of Creole" and/or "Black Union Soldiers of Laura Plantation" tours !
