The past few days have been busy at the museum- Just like we like it!

Yesterday we had Northside pre-k and kindergarten students explore the museum and today middle schoolers from Lawton Virtual Academy/Gateway visited us!

Between guiding around 60 kids through our exhibits we’ve had Hunter from News Channel 6 KAUZ in grabbing footage and interviews for a feature during Hometown Pride.

And just to top off a busy start of the week, tonight we’re open LATE! Check out the event post here Open Late 'Til Eight: May 12th

We were honored to be included in this event last month!

In March, Humanities Texas, the Smithsonian Rural Initiative, and Texas Rural Funders hosted "Preserving Rural Stories: Resources and Grants for Historical and Cultural Organizations in the Texas Panhandle" in Amarillo.

The conference—presented in partnership with the Amarillo Area Foundation, the Texas Historical Commission, and the Texas Historical Foundation—brought together organizations from across the Panhandle and West Texas to learn about funding opportunities and resources to support their service to the state's rural communities.
