It is officially First Friday, which means, yes we are expecting you tonight at The Delaware Contemporary!

Three new exhibitions open in our galleries this evening. Studios@ Artist, Roberta Tucci is in Gallery 7 with her show BLOOM, an exhibition that celebrates the arrival of Spring with bold abstractions on flowers and plants.

In Gallery 2 and 3, we are excited to host the UD MFA Thesis exhibition featuring Timothy Carr, Ryan Dittmar, Zoe Elwood, Rebecca Giles, Arizol Mendoza, Alysssa Rose Pirolli and Nasir Young.

And in Gallery 4, in collaboration with The University of Delaware, the Lynn Herrick Sharp Award Exhibition features the winner, Sandi Parette and honorable mentions, Loki Krukosky and Janice Castro.

It was an honor to welcome Congresswoman Sarah McBride and student artists from across the state to the reception for the 2026 Statewide High School Congressional Art Competition Exhibition.

Now on view through April 26 at The Delaware Contemporary, this exhibition highlights the creativity and vision of Delaware’s young artists, including a first-place work to be displayed in the US Capitol.

Here’s to our next generation of visionaries.
