Gallery on Main presents "Pattern Play" A Juried Art Exhibit

Patterns give shape and meaning to the world around us, which helps to create order, balance and symmetry. Patterns surround us, both in nature and in man’s creations. The human brain constantly processes, recognizes and predicts patterns to understand our environment.
This pattern recognition ability is the foundation of human intelligence and allows for complex thought, language and creativity.
Artists were invited to investigate how patterns and repetition can create new understandings and interpretations by exploring rhythm, harmony and movement in a composition.
