In "They’ve Got Disaster On Their Mind", Anne Silverstrand Forest invites us into a world that feels increasingly familiar and unsettling at the same time.

Her work reflects on a world where the lines between power and powerlessness, good and evil, are drawn with startling clarity. It is a landscape where long-held secrets drift upward, erupting at the surface, and where the peak of the tipping point comes into sharper focus every day.

What a time to be alive...

This work embodies much of what makes the exhibition so compelling: vulnerable yet confrontational, intimate yet impossible to ignore.

Her solo exhibition is on view for just under three more weeks at NQ Gallery.

For those who haven’t seen it yet — make sure to visit.

The gallery is open : Thursday–Saturday, 11am–6pm
Sunday, 2pm–6pm

Visitors walking through the public pathway crossing the grounds of Botanic Sanctuary Antwerp can now encounter David by Caspar Berger — a work that invites reflection on heroism, scale, vulnerability, and courage.

The story of David and Goliath is universally known: the underdog facing an opponent far greater and more powerful. According to Berger, this is precisely why so many artists throughout history have chosen to depict David — because everyone wants to be David.

For Berger, the ultimate David remains Michelangelo’s monumental marble figure. After acquiring a plaster fragment reproduction of Michelangelo’s original head in Milan, Berger decided to confront this legacy himself. He covered David’s face with silicone casts of his own face, creating what initially appears to be a scarred or pitted surface, but reveals itself as a collage of countless life-sized versions of the artist himself.

The intervention creates a striking shift in perception: through scale alone, Michelangelo’s David transforms from heroic youth into giant.

Special thanks to the team at Botanic Sanctuary Antwerp for their enthusiasm, engagement, and commitment in making this possible.

Take your time. David is waiting.

Anne Silverstrand Forest has been part of the gallery from the very beginning. As the gallery has grown, so has her practice. Her work continues to evolve in a way that is both uncompromising and deeply personal. She remains an artist who challenges herself. That is where Anne’s strength lies, and we are proud that she plays an important role in shaping the identity of the gallery.

"From Scratch" ALEXANDER TINEI MOYA Museum

Today marks the opening of "From Scratch" at the MOYA Museum — a group exhibition bringing together artists who use material as an active carrier of meaning.

Across five solo presentations, the exhibition unfolds as a multifaceted exploration of the language of matter.

One of the featured artists is NQ Gallery artist Alexander Tinei, who reveals his remarkable versatility through a selection of works created over the past three years.
From the drawings made for his solo exhibition "Orange Offset" at NQ Gallery, to works developed during his residency at the Van GoghHuis in Zundert, and pieces presented during his solo exhibition "Funny Games" at DOX Centre for Contemporary Art in Prague — the presentation offers an intimate insight into the evolution of Tinei’s practice.

A heartfelt thank you to curator Majke Hüsstege for creating an exhibition that radiates calm while simultaneously revealing the underlying tension and energy embedded within Tinei’s captivating portraits.
It is precisely Tinei’s technical mastery and emotional intensity that make this exhibition linger long after viewing — and make it more than worth the visit.

Also featured in the exhibition are Marieke Bolhuis, Hans van der Ham, Gijs van Lith and Arthur Löwen

The museum is open Friday - Sunday, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM
