Art on Paper, the international fair for contemporary drawing in Brussels, will take place from 6 to 9 October 2022 in the Vanderborght Building. Art on Paper presents in the heart of Brussels a unique panorama of the quality and diversity of contemporary approaches to drawing through the organisation of an international fair dedicated to this practice. Art on Paper offers the various audiences, b

oth professionals and amateurs, the opportunity to discover this diversity through the presentation of artists selected by established and emerging Belgian and international galleries. Art on Paper will be held as part of the third edition of the Brussels Drawing Week (3 to 9 October), which will bring together a series of drawing events in the Vanderborght Building.

ADVISORY BOARD 2026 ANNOUNCEMENT

ArtOnPaper is honoured to welcome María Inés Rodríguez to its 2026 Advisory Board. She is currently the Director of the in Brussels and the Founder and Artistic Director of TropicalPapers.org.

Since 2022, she has been a guest advisor to the Rijksakademie (Amsterdam), a board member of Fondation Martell and LaM Museum, and a member of the acquisitions committee of Kanal–Centre Pompidou (Brussels). She has also served as a jury member for the Lise Wilhelmsen Art Award (2019–2026) and is currently involved in the In Situ programme (2023–2026) by Fondation Daniel et Nina Carasso and Cité internationale des arts.

Her broad knowledge and her unique vision will be a great contribution in shaping ArtOnPaper 10th edition.

In 2021 Galerie Nathalie Obadia participated in ArtOnPaper with a solo exhibition of Joris Van de Moortel. Presenting the work of Antwerp-based artist Joris Van de Moortel (born in 1983 in Ghent, Belgium, where he lives and works). A key figure on the contemporary Belgian art scene, Joris Van de Moortel has developed a multidisciplinary practice that closely intertwines visual art and experimental music. At ArtOnPaper 2021, we highlighted the intensity and complexity of his work on paper, which reflects his singular artistic language. His works on paper reveal a layered and expressive approach, marked by a strong sense of energy.
