OPENING JUNE 19 🥂
Off-site summer show at Château de Jau by Galerie DYS
June 19 - October 4, 2026

with the works of
Abel Burger
Benoît Huot
Simone Pellegrini
Yasemin Senel
Emeli Theander

The exhibition "Territoires sauvages. Une traversée intérieure" is conceived as an exploration of an unknown and mysterious territory, without precise geographical boundaries, composed of myths, images, founding narratives, and mythical creatures. This territory evokes the creative realm of artists who invent and give shape to subjective worlds and unique visual and narrative systems. It is also an evocation of the elusive mental landscape and the tentative exploration we constantly
undertake of our own psyche.

Our last show of the season has closed its doors! Many thanks to Solange Knopf antoine_moulinard and for joining me and trusting me in this beautiful exhibition. I loved the glamourous-haunted-gothic-romantic atmosphere created by these works together, it is definitely my kind of curation 🥰
I feel so much joy sharing my vision with the artists and the visitors. I keep in my heart the words of a visitor who told me two weeks ago : "I am so happy that you and your gallery exist". It made me cry.

Now let's prepare our SUBLIME off-site summer show in southern France 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

ANTOINE MOULINARD

Last day of our group show this Saturday 🥲

“Les veilleurs” (“The watchers”) is an exhibition of works imbued with a powerful presence. The pieces are otherworldly and gothic, as if plucked from a castle haunted by ghosts and swept by drafts. Antoine Moulinard’s (France, 1998) ceramics are rooted in religious art but unfold with a thoroughly contemporary exuberance: grimacing church steles with deep glazes, a naive Saint Sebastian riddled with arrows, a mirror adorned with flaming dragons. Last chance to see his beautiful ceramics at the gallery this Saturday, June 13!

MARIA ÑÍGUEZ

I can't believe it is the last days of our beautiful group show already 😮

I was very happy to present six works on paper by young talent on view until this Saturday June 13 at the gallery. I am very excited with this new collaboration, her world and work combine all the things I love!

María Ñíguez (Murcia, 1997) explores dreamlike and ambiguous scenes in which narrative is suspended in favor of a dense emotional atmosphere. Her painting investigates the psychological relationships between figures, particularly around the female form and its bond with its surroundings: women caught in tense affective dynamics, never entirely explicit. Her work is permeated by a constant tension between desire and fear, between eroticism and the uncanny.
Far from offering closed narratives, Ñíguez encodes intimate experiences into images open to multiple interpretations. The scene is never fully resolved: it is the viewer who must inhabit that uncertainty and complete its meaning through their own reading.

EMELI THEANDER
Off-site summer show at Château de Jau
June 19 - October 4, 2026

Emeli Theander (Sweden, 1984) is part of our upcoming off-site show at this summer ☀️

Emeli creates works on canvas and paper imbued with an absolute duality. Each painting is an enigma: mirror effects, figures in strange poses, disjointed ballets of ghostly figures, settings of optical illusions, references to classical paintings that leave an impression of strange familiarity... The deceptive shadow becomes a be***al alter ego. The breastfed child seems to have cannibalistic urges. One might well doubt whether Thetis is bathing Achilles in the waters of immortality or attempting to drown him. The line is soft, caressing; the oil paint is applied in lavish strokes, and the colors are sweet, yet the atmosphere is filled with a poisonous strangeness. The mountains, streams, ponds, and forests form a Garden of Eden where everything foreshadows the Fall. Here, motherhood represents the wild and unknown territory, full of promises and threats. The unknown lies within t he mother’s womb and in the discovery of her new role, between dislocation and transformation. It is a continent unto itself, hostile, magnficent.

SOLANGE KNOPF

Our current show "Les veilleurs" is a dark, romantic, dreamlike exhibition on view until June 13, with the works of Solange Knopf, Antoine Moulinard and Maria Ñíguez.

Solange Knopf (Belgium, 1957), whom we are finally welcoming back to our gallery since her last solo exhibition in 2017, is a leading figure in outsider art. Her lines and characters wind and blossom on black paper like emanations, spectres, and enigmatic genealogies.
