Marie A. Smith Watercolours

Marie A. Smith Watercolours Marie's Biography
Marie paints watercolours inspired by vast array of experiences, from her deep faith in God and family life, to her world travels.

Art has always been a part of Marie's life. As a child, her mother kept her well occupied with crayons. An eighth grade teacher recognized her talent and encouraged her to always include art in her course choices.... and she did. Later, encouraged to teach, Marie started sharing techniques & colour mixing learned from Jack Reid. Sharing her creativity with others, teaching private and small group

classes to all ages, as well as producing a television series. Marie began painting her own greeting cards, giving away her first attempts... Afterwards, milestone training and mentoring from Jack Reid C.S.P.W.C., gave her the self-confidence to forge ahead, selling many works from solo shows, commissions and exhibitions. Marie is now fortunate to live in Prince Edward Island and enjoys painting the lifestyle, culture and history of the Island. Marie enjoys sharing her talents through teaching and exhibiting, as well as continuing to create and develop her Art. Painting & schetching from life when she can, Marie also captures fleeting moments with photography for future references. She eagerly awaits the next adventure in her pathway of life!
