Fort Point Museum National Historic Site and Community museum at the mouth of the LaHave River. Site of Fort Sainte-Marie-de-Grâce, first capital of Acadia.

Events, gardens & beach access. Open Tuesday to Sunday 10am–5pm. Closed Mondays in June. Fort Point Museum is maintained and operated by the Lunenburg County Historical Society. Our Mission is to interpret and celebrate the heritage of LaHave and the lower LaHave River area. Our Vision is to be a dynamic center that commemorates the history, the community, and the culture of the past and present.

Fort Point Museum’s annual take-out Lobster Supper is back on Sunday, May 31! 🦞

Dinner includes 1.5 lb lobster with potato salad, coleslaw, bun, and carrot cake.

$35 per plate
$30 for members

This is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year and helps support the museum’s programs, events, and day-to-day operations.
