You may notice some extra structures and hustle and bustle around the Village this week as we open and prepare for the Cold Waters Seafood Festival.

But as you can see, the grounds are looking beautiful in their spring greenery and the buildings will all be open and ready for your stroll back in time.

See you tomorrow, folks!

Newfoundland Baked Squid, anyone?

Tomi Gun's Kickin' Kitchen will be coming out strong for her very first Cold Waters Seafood Festival with this Newfoundland delight. And we'd be lyin' if we didn't say we're doing a jig waiting to dig into that one (pun intended!)

As we gear up for the Cold Waters Seafood Festival next weekend, we wanted to share a bit more of Jack's memories as an inshore fisherman on the Eastern Shore.

Get a taste of that coastal life and swing by the "Fish Store" at the festival (June 6th & 7th) where we'll be set up with buoy painting for the kids! Find all the tasty details at coldwatersfestival.com

This video was filmed in the autumn of 2015 here at the Heritage Village. Jack's memories and his many years as a volunteer shaped the Fisherman's Storehouse here at Memory Lane. A Village Champion through and through, Jack sadly passed away in April, 2022.

Kick back with yer buds and enjoy a cool glass of Beth's Black Oyster Stout from Sober Island Brewing Company at the Cold Waters Seafood Festival.

A favourite for many festival feasters for almost a decade, they'll have a selection of local wine on offer, along with their other craft beers. (Tasty Tip - We hear the 'Blueberry Express' Centennial Ale is great with some lemonade from Goodies By Cee Gee!)
