Huble Homestead Historic Site

Huble Homestead Historic Site Huble Homestead is a historic site located 40 km north of Prince George on Lheidli T’enneh keyoh. Open daily from 10:00 to 5:00.

Huble Homestead Historic Site is located on Lheidli T'enneh keyoh; the house and buildings are situated in the Giscome Portage Regional Park. The site is operated by the Huble Homestead/Giscome Portage Heritage Society, a non-profit charity committed to preserving and promoting the history of the Huble Homestead, Giscome Portage, and surrounding area through responsible stewardship and educationa

l programming. During the summer months the historic site is open daily for guided tours, school and daycare programs, special events, and self-led activities.

Got plans for Monday, September 7th? You do now! Join us for the Potato Festival at Huble Homestead, which runs from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM on the holiday Monday! Grab some heirloom spuds, help make butter and ice cream, and learn about quilting, crocheted lace, and Edwardian hairstyles from our summer staff!

It's the last day of our regular season before we transition to fall hours so come out for a meal from our special potato menu (potato chip cookies are back!), or to save yourself 10% off all store merchandise! We'll also have potato themed games, a potato decorating contest, live music, and more!

This week's explains why some of us take multiple photos from the same angle - you just don't know what's going to be usable. In the case of this shot, it was salvaged with a crop. In fact, if you look closely at our last post, you can still see a bit of the finger.

There are just 9 days remaining in our regular season! If you haven't had a chance to make it out, we're open every day from 10:00 to 5:00 until September 7 - after that, we'll be switching to weekends until October 11.

Registration for Homicide on the Homestead is now open, and we're taking it back to the 1920s! Join us, and other guests, for a trip back to September 1925, and a party in the historic Huble House! Tickets are $60.00, which gets you an assigned character to play, as well as drinks and an hors d'oeuvres.

Tickets for the upcoming Sherlock Challenge at Huble Homestead are sold out, but that doesn't mean you can't join in the sleuthy fun!

Our Watson Weekend event runs Saturday, August 22 and Sunday, August 23 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and there's no registration required. Just head north, check in at the General Store to get your first clue, and go! You can work at your own pace, and our staff will be available to give you hints if needed.
