Huble Homestead Historic Site Huble Homestead is a historic site located 40 km north of Prince George on Lheidli Tโ€™enneh keyoh. Open daily from 10:00 to 5:00.

Huble Homestead Historic Site is located on Lheidli T'enneh keyoh; the house and buildings are situated in the Giscome Portage Regional Park. The site is operated by the Huble Homestead/Giscome Portage Heritage Society, a non-profit charity committed to preserving and promoting the history of the Huble Homestead, Giscome Portage, and surrounding area through responsible stewardship and educationa

l programming. During the summer months the historic site is open daily for guided tours, school and daycare programs, special events, and self-led activities.

A big congratulations to Edgewood Elementary, who are the winners of this year's Huble Prize Pack!

Their group will be visiting the site next week, at which point each student will receive a goodie bag of prizes. Each class will also get one of our children's book titles, and together they'll name a chicken and rabbit! Congratulations Edgewood Elementary!

The weather might not be fully cooperating today, but the site is open and Scavenger Weekend is fully set up and good to go! Join us Saturday, May 23 or Sunday, May 24 for some self-guided fun!

A weekend scavenger hunt is waiting for you at Huble Homestead!

This fun and inexpensive day is perfect for seasoned seekers or first-time explorers. To get started, youโ€™ll check in with a staff member, get your list, and collect items, answer questions, and solve a couple of riddles! Once you finish, bring your treasures and completed sheet back to the General Store to receive a prize for all your efforts.

The event runs from 10:30 - 4:30 on May 23 & 24.

How many birds can you spot in a cabin? Can you find something orange? These are just two of the challenges you can complete at our upcoming Scavenger Weekend event!

Running from 10:30 to 4:30 on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24, this self-guided event lets you explore the site at your own pace. Get the crew together, pack a lunch (or grab a burger or pie from the General Store), and step back in time!

Join us Monday, May 18, for Spring on the Homestead, our first event of the 2026 season!

Come enjoy the scenery, take part in heritage demonstrations such as ice cream making, butter making, and the May pole dance, play old-fashioned games, or take a tour! Learn all about making cheese from Tracey of Cheeseneeds.com, chat with Dave from SilverTree Woodworking about the treadle pole lathe, and create the winning scarecrow in our annual contest to determine this year's garden guardian!

Event activities kick off at 10:30 AM and go until 4:00, and admission is by donation. See you there!
