Come on out and check out Goodsir Nature Park on this gorgeous long weekend!! Bring a picnic to enjoy if you like, there are tables to relax at!! And don't forget to check out that lake with the ring of fire, or the meticulously created botanical gardens!

***New EDIT***

It is Friday the 4th at the time of this edit and I just got word the wood is delayed. I will keep you posted as to when it will be arriving. Thanks to everyone who is willing to come out to help get it ready for Jim.
While the wood has not arrived, Facebook marketplace is full of free firewood and if anyone would take some out to Jim that would be incredible!
You guys are wonderful, have a great long weekend!

September 3rd the load of wood should arrive at Goodsir. It is about a dump truck worth. We are looking for a bunch of people to buck, and then split and stack. Jim says he has 2 chainsaws and the wood splitter is working pretty well now.

Message so we can make arrangements and coordinate with the other volunteers, Jim says this weekend would be great.

Please share this post so we can rally the PG troops to help Jim out!

Winter is coming at it is time to make sure there is plenty if firewood.
Jim is needing some help getting some wood. He has some coming this week, and would appreciate if a few people can bring chainsaws to buck it into split-level lengths.
He has a wood splitter that is running to split it all.
Every bit of help he can get to make sure he can stay warm this winter would be great!

The colors are starting to change, and the days are starting to cool.
No better place to bask in early autumn than nature.
Come on out to enjoy the colors of fall on the trails, the Ring of Fire around the lake and let's not forget to stop in to thd Record and Botanical museums.

Hey everyone!
I have a favour to ask, it will cost no money and take as long as you like, and it could really make Jim's day.

The ask:
Film yourself saying hi to Jim, maybe share a favourite story, or moments from the park, or times with Jim.

The goal: Is to compile it all into one video that he can watch on the rainy days the park doesn't get a lot of traffic, or anytime really. Kind words, words of appreciation for what he has created and shared with all of us....those can bring a lot of joy. So I ask you to share your gratitude for Goodsir Nature Park and its creator, send in your video, as short or as long as you like, talk to Jim like he is there. Let's give him a big surprise!
