Musée Ukraina Museum Saskatoon

Musée Ukraina Museum Saskatoon Welcome to Musée Ukraina Museum! What has evolved on Avenue M - Sister Theodosia Lane, is a centre for religious and cultural life.

Located in a heritage district of Saskatoon where, in early days, the area was populated with a kaleidoscope of new immigrants to Canada. Located next to the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral of St. George, MUM offers tours highlighting the rich Ukrainian Eastern Byzantine rite architecture, as well as the art and iconography which beautifies the church. Our Galleries showcase the cultural and historic

story of the Ukrainian people displaying a sample of the 20,000 plus treasures within the Museum's collection of traditional Ukrainian folk art and artifacts. Across the street, the Ukrainian Sisters of St. Joseph Shrine of the Venerable Nun Martyrs Olympia and Laurentia, contributes to the strength of this destination area. Yes, there are two Ukrainian Museums in Saskatoon! Both of which share the purpose of education and preservation in their own special and dedicated way.

There’s a new feature on the ‘Spotlight On...’ tab of the MUM website. Read the story about Christine and her little red jacket that her mother sewed for her while living in a Displaced Persons camp in Winzer, Bavaria.

Celebrate !
Help spread the warmth of Ukrainian traditional embroidery that echos identity, resilience and hope … tracing back thousands of years. Today, embroidery connects us with history in the making.

Our embroidery unites Ukrainian heritage, nationalism, patriotism and pride. Vyshyvanka is a talisman - an armour protecting the person wearing it.

Носимо вишиванку не лише на тілі, а і серці!
