EHS is honoured to present Cherri Hurst with the Etobicoke Historical Society's 2026 Jean Hibbert Memorial Award.

Cherri (right) received the award from EHS President Mireille Macia (left), and Cherri's mentor and 2021 Jean Hibbert Award recipient, Mary Louise Ashbourne (centre) at the EHS Annual General Meeting last night at Montgomery's Inn.

🎶 A Musical Journey Through Etobicoke’s Past 🎶

Join us on Friday, November 21 at 8:00 PM at Martingrove Collegiate Institute (50 Winterton Drive, Etobicoke) for Our Story—a unique concert celebrating Etobicoke’s rich history.

Come celebrate Etobicoke with us in this special collaboration between the Etobicoke Philharmonic Orchestra and the Etobicoke Historical Society, featuring the Local Vocals pop-up choir and Etobian composers.

Artefacts on display from the EHS archives will include a cannon ball from the War of 1812 - setting the stage for the orchestra's performance of Tchaikovsky's thrilling 1812 Overture.
