Opening a new chapter of activist art, collective architecture, and civic imagination, Libia Castro & Ólafur Ólafsson, together with La Casa Invisible in Málaga, present The Rehabilitation of La Casa Invisible – Chapter I, an expansive community art project that operates across architecture, film, activism, and social practice.
Join us this Saturday, 18. October, 18–20 h for the Finissage & Artist Talk of The Rehabilitation of La Casa Invisible – Chapter 1.
Artists Libia Castro & Ólafur Ólafsson will be in conversation with Florian Wüst, Berlin-based film curator and cultural producer, whose work explores urban transformation, social history, and the politics of images.
The talk reflects on the duo’s ongoing collaboration with the citizen-run cultural center La Casa Invisible in Málaga — a project merging art, activism, and architecture in defense of collective spaces and the right to the city.
Castro & Ólafsson have exhibited internationally, including Van Abbemuseum, KW, De Appel, the Sydney Biennial, and the Venice Biennale, and received the Icelandic Art Prize for their work In Search of Magic – A Proposal for a New Constitution for Iceland.
