Tufting workshop
Is your instagram full of tufting videos and you want to try it before investing a lot of money into this new hobby? (It happened to us, that’s how everything started.)
Are you bored of staring at your computer and would you rather create something soft and pretty in the old school analog way? (Aren’t we all?)
Are you already desperate about Christmas gifts? (Well, a bit…)
Our answer to all these questions is this rug making workshop.
You will learn how to put your drawing on a textile, how to use a tufting gun, and how to create the backing for your rug. At the end, you can bring home a small carpet (around 60x60 cm) with your own colorful graphics.
What we provide:
An introduction to the technique
Help
All the materials (textile, backing textile, yarn, glue)
A tufting gun and frame for the workshop
If you have anything specific in your mind regarding the yarn, feel very encouraged to bring your own yarn, we want you to create something that you really love.
We suggest starting with a rather simple graphic, in an ideal scenario you can already arrive with a plan, but no worries if you don’t, we can also improvise.

9-10. November 10-16h.
Price: 240 euro

Instructor:
Rita Eperjesi, art director and creative technologist. Rita really likes bright colors and soft textiles. She has already created a few rugs, she is not the master of the universe nor an official carpet maker, but she is very happy to show you the basics and guide your first steps.
