For the final day of we have some special and very rare one! In the 80s Vans was producing shoes for the Military - these contract are called DLA Defense Logistic Agency and help Vans to keep all factory workers employed while the slow moth in winter. There were two types of shoes - a boot for extreme cold weather for jet crews the Mukluks and shoes for the navy seals - called corral creepers. And thx to we could create an upcycling Sk8 Hi Boot out of the materials of a Mukluk boot 👍 truly one of a kind 🏁💯❤️🧇

🇬🇧 OPEN NOW IN BERLIN!
“SKATERS AND SKATEBOARDERS – BEFORE AND AFTER THE FALL OF THE BERLIN WALL” 📍 Haus der Geschichte Berlin – Kulturbrauerei 📅 10 June 2026 – 4 April 2027 🎟 Free admission
This fascinating photo exhibition features works by Thomas Kalak, Helge Tscharn, Harald Schmitt, Uli Kattenstroh, Alex Flach and Cap10, documenting skateboarding culture in East and West Germany.
The Skateboardmuseum Berlin was proud to support the exhibition as a historical advisor, contribute rare archive pieces, and create a special installation showcasing skateboards from German brands and local Berlin skate shops.
Don’t miss some unique boards on display, including one of the first skateboards produced in West Germany by Hudora for the Cologne Housewares Fair in 1965, an early “Rollbrett” dating back to the 1950s, and a beautiful DIY skateboard built from roller skates in the GDR during the 1970s by Benny.
Fun fact: the earliest known film footage of children riding a Rollbrett was recorded in Berlin in 1942!
