Last weekend we were pleased to host a meeting of the Fairthorpe Sports Car Club, who brought with them several Fairthorpe Electrons and a Rochdale Olympic, a make also covered by the Club. It was good to have these very rare British sports cars on site; we hope that they enjoyed their visit. (Pictures courtesy of Jake Braggington).

It's Bank Holiday Monday again - and we're OPEN. Nothing special planned, but the Museum will have all our exhibits waiting for you to look at and experience - remember that many of our buses will be open for you to look inside and you can sit in the Driver's seat of some of them. The shop has a good range of models, books and photographs for you to buy, along with cans of drink and confectionary. Come and say hello!

Today, the Museum was delighted to welcome the Mayor of Walsall, Cllr Louise Harrison for an official visit. We very much hope that the Mayor enjoyed her visit; we were very pleased to hear about her family connection with Walsall buses in the past. Thank you for coming.

A very quick thank you to all who made the Running Day today a great success - bus owners and drivers, the stallholders, our own volunteers and last, but certainly not least, all our lovely visitors. More pictures tomorrow (when we've recovered!).

Look at the Event page for details of our Spring Running Day on Sunday, 26th April!

We will have a reduced offering, as the high cost of fuel and some of our buses being unavailable, so our services will be confined to approximately half-hourly runs to Walsall and on the Village Tour, which between them will also provide the Park and Ride journeys.

There will be sales stands present, and Great Barr Brass will be providing a musical background. More to come!
