Founded in 1865, The Curtis Museum is Alton's local history museum, operated by arts and heritage charity, Hampshire Cultural Trust (HCT).

Following increasing financial pressures, the Museum's future is currently uncertain. Share your views to help shape a more resilient and relevant future for the Curtis Museum.

Join us for a special screening of Early Man (2018) in the museum during the summer holidays, as part of the Festival of Archaeology 2026!

Early Man (2018) follows Dug, a caveman, and his sidekick, Hognob, as they try to gather people to fight against Lord Nooth who wishes to transform their land into a mine for his selfish gains.

Accessibility: This screening is taking place upstairs, which must be accessed via a set of stairs. There is no lift or stairlift. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause. Please contact the venue if you would like any further information.
