Many thanks again to everyone for making this year’s one to remember! We enjoyed authentic spam sandwiches, morse code lessons from RAF veterans and informative historical talks by our in-house expert . Activities were carefully supervised by chief mouser, our resident bunker bengal called Cleo, and a 1950s Black Watch support battalion provided crucial site security - exactly as it had during active Cold War ops. Look forward to participating again next year!!

A final reminder that we’re hosting a series of special walking tours as part of the National Cold War Heritage Week. No need to book just arrive at the bunker with plenty time to purchase museum entry tickets before joining the tour. We will set off sharp from the top of the tunnel - just past reception. Look forward to seeing you all this weekend!

After last year’s inaugural event we’re thrilled to be participating again with the National Cold War Heritage Week!

From Friday 22 May to Sunday 24 we have some exciting new events planned for visitors! There are in-depth walking tours scheduled for Friday and Saturday afternoons that give a fantastic insight to the bunker’s 40-year operational history. We also have our living history re-enactors demonstrating 1950s field cooking as practiced by troops of The Black Watch battalion - the assigned protection force for RAF Anstruther should the Soviets attempt a mass assault! The museum is currently renovating exhibits so there are plenty new displays on show that reveal more of the once top-secret history.

Entry tickets are available on our website or can be purchased on arrival.

For any further queries please get in touch with the museum.

We look forward to seeing everyone!
