The Lemond Gallery was established in 2000 and is based in Bearsden Glasgow. The Lemond Gallery provides access to the leading Scottish Contemporary artists.

It specialises in contemporary on-canvas art from the leading Scottish painters from the four Scottish Art Schools. It also provides Art and Scottish Art education to its clients. We also provide development programmes for young artists.

The HERALD

Thank you again to Barry Didcock for a wonderful article in yesterday’s Herald. The article focused on our Colin Wilson and Samantha McCubbin Two Person Show which opens TODAY.

Samantha discusses her love of painting flowers and her new experimentation into abstraction and being “focused more on movement, texture and emotion” … “I love the idea of capturing a feeling or impression rather than focusing on details”.

Colin notes “I’ve always been interested in playing with the different planes, trying to include the frame as part of the image instead of just surrounding it”, such as his painting ‘Flicker In The Void’ - a hand holding a lit cigarette lighter with a scorch mark on the frame above the flame. “When you interact with the frame it brings the painting into our world as opposed to keeping it two-dimensional and on the wall”

Join us for our Two Person Exhibition featuring Colin Wilson and Samantha McCubbin - opening this Saturday, 16th May, and running until Sunday 24th May, 11am–5pm daily.

Colin Wilson’s paintings are extraordinary works of skill. His meticulous technique and remarkable attention to detail result in paintings of exceptional quality, with each piece taking significant time to create - making his work both distinctive and rarely available.

Samantha McCubbin’s work continues to flourish, combining expressive mark-making with rich colour and striking texture. Her paintings celebrate the beauty and energy of the natural world with warmth and sensitivity.

Some highlights from the weekend …

Another wonderful article in The Herald by Barry Didcock, featuring Hanna Kaciniel and Craig Scott Knight. Barry excellently explored both artists approaches to their creation of Pop Art.

A fascinating talk by Craig Scott Knight on our Opening Day, offering insight into how the background of an artist is reflected in their work. A high intensity mind with heroic messages making the argument for what is right in the world. A different aspect of art appreciation is required where the unravelling of the message and interpretation is part of the fun and enjoyment of a piece.

Thank you also to all who came along to our Opening Day to meet Hanna and Craig. We had a wonderful turn out for our Opening Weekend, with lots of red dots (sales).

There are still some great options available to view and appreciate in the Exhibition.
