Don't miss your chance to see the coming-of-age horror cult classic film ‘Jennifer’s Body’. The film has picked up its iconic q***r following since its release with its themes of codependency and jealousy.

We’re excited to show this horror comedy classic for our spooky special Halloween showing, and we hope to see you there for a fright!

The tragic true story of two brothers.

This month, we're inviting Dr Gareth Mulvenna to discuss the two unsolved cases of Sammy and Anthony McCleave, two brothers in the community who were murdered in the 1970s on the same day, 6 years apart.

These cases show how the troubles affected the LGBTQIA+ community at the time and the danger that those in the community faced every day.

Come join us on Zoom on the 27th of October, 7pm. Links will be sent closer to the date.

This event may discuss some darker themes than other history club sessions, such as physical violence and homophobia. If you have any concerns about other content, please write back, and we will be able to inform you about any other topics that may be discussed.

The tragic true story of two brothers.

We're celebrating International Le***an Day 🧡 🤍 🩷

Today, we reflect on the brave le****ns who were able to take to the streets and fight for LGBTQIA+ rights throughout history, regardless of how unsafe it may have been.

This day gives an opportunity for women, families and friends to connect, celebrate and also raise awareness about the importance of community. 🌈

To honour it, why not educate yourself about le***an history and experiences? Take a look on our archives to see some of our archived material of LGBTQIA+ women and their works, arts and demonstrations in the fight for equal rights.

This day, 14 years ago, the Northern Ireland Assembly held its first debate and vote on a motion regarding same-sex marriage.

While it took some time after this for same-sex marriage to be fully legalised, this is still an important milestone for LGBTQIA+ people, as a day when our local government was made to seriously consider the rights and liberties of LGBTQIA+ relationships and a necessary step to where we are today.

This month on the LGBTQIA+ History Club we’re joined by the Heritage Project's own Justine Eastwood, who will be taking a close look at the works of Belfast born artist, Gerard Dillon.

We’ll explore Dillon’s life and work through a q***r lens, uncovering themes, relationships and elements within his paintings that may have gone unnoticed or unspoken by many audiences during the first half of the 20th century.
