This month, we're inviting Dr Gareth Mulvenna to discuss the two unsolved cases of Sammy and Anthony McCleave, two brothers in the community who were murdered in the 1970s on the same day, 6 years apart.

These cases show how the troubles affected the LGBTQIA+ community at the time and the danger that those in the community faced every day.

This event may discuss some darker themes than other history club sessions, such as physical violence and homophobia. If you have any concerns about other content, please write back, and we will be able to inform you about any other topics that may be discussed.

On this day in 2015, Amnesty International, The Rainbow Project and The Irish Congress of Trade Unions grouped together to organise a rally in support of same-sex marriage in which 20,000. This event showed just how wide the support for the Marriage Equality Campaign was.

We take today to honour the resilience of all long-term survivors, including those diagnosed before effective treatments were available.
