We are so happy to support Murrie at The Green Tree in raising money for Breast Cancer Now.

We are pleased to present a commemorative print by Eric Thompson generously donated by Eric Thompson's Art Studio This piece features the Sycamore Gap Tree, also known as the Robin Hood Tree, situated near Hadrian's Wall at Crag Lough in Northumberland. Following the tragic and unlawful destruction of this iconic landmark in September 2023, we are auctioning this artwork to raise funds for Breast Cancer Now. We invite your offers starting at a minimum bid of £65. Please submit your bids in the comments section on the original Green Tree post to support this cause.

🍂 This week our Wednesday Walk plan was to hit the woods to find conkers and pine cones for my autumn window display 🍁

We got soaked! But did manage to find quite a lot.

Yesterday I got home to a lovely filled dog poo bag on my front door step! What are friends for, she’s a top conker hunter 🥰😂😂

I’ve been getting webbed in the shop. So I’ve swept the floors, walls, ceiling and all nooks and crannies. Today we decided to pull the entire window display out and clean it too.

We discovered a spider of such a size, she should be paying rent!

She has nicely been asked to leave the building. No point in getting rowdy with her, she could have easily beat us in a fight.

OK, I have been back to it now for a few days after a lovely family break and we have had a busy return which is brilliant - these are the pictures that have gone to their new homes.
The dark chinoiserie pictures of the Crane and the Peacock are original oil paintings and the Robin Hoods Bay is an original watercolour.

We’re going to be closed for a family break after Saturday 29th and reopening on Thursday 10th September.
Time for a little R&R and a few drinks, we will be back refreshed (possibly slightly hungover)
