The Joint Services School for Linguists (The JSSL)

On Thursday 24th April George Bason, Chairman of the RAF Linguists’ Association along with Balu Madhvani, visited Bodmin Town Museum to donate a copy of the August 2023 edition of the Rafling magazine containing a photograph about the ‘The Shed’ on Normandy Way. This was once part of the JSSL and is now owned by the Walker Lines Gymnasium Trust of which Balu Madhvani is the Chairman and a trustee. Bodmin Town Museum donated to George Bason a copy of the Museum’s leaflet about the time the Joint Services School for Linguists was in Bodmin.
Do come and see the Town Museum’s fascinating display about the JSSL when the school was in Bodmin from 1951-1956! Many of the students became very famous!
Copies of the JSSL leaflet can be purchased in the Museum’s shop.
