We’re busy behind the scenes at Bondville, packing away and getting everything organised for winter.

As we won’t be opening for Halloween or Christmas this year, we have lots of decorations available to buy, with some absolute bargains to be had! 🎃🎄

At the beginning of the year, I knew I needed some extra pairs of hands to help give Bondville its best chance to shine. What I never imagined was just how much those people would come to mean to me.

People who turn up, get stuck in, make me laugh and have my back. People who have supported me no end throughout the year and love this slightly bonkers little place as much as I do.

I asked for help, and somewhere along the way, I found the most wonderful friends. 🥹

We’ve created something so very special together, and I appreciate every single one of you.

And Mike… thank you for putting so much heart into this beautiful song. Our very own Bondville anthem. How lucky are we? ❤️🎶

When I sold my nursery business, I wasn’t sure who I was anymore.

I’d spent so many years building it, being needed and knowing exactly what I was getting up for every morning. Then suddenly it wasn’t there, nothing prepared me for that feeling and I wasn’t even sure what I was supposed to do.
Somewhere along the way, without realising I lost myself.

Then I bought a model village. It was tired, run down and seemed to have lost its way (a bit like me 🤔🤣)❤️ and I honestly did not have a clue about what I was going to do with it 😳 I just knew how the place made me feel.

I couldn’t have known what Bondville would come to mean to me, but over time, this little place has made me question so many of the things I thought were important.

Because the moments that make me happiest are often the simplest. A familiar face coming through the gate. A proper chat. Someone sharing a memory. Having a laugh together.

I’ve made so many new friends. Together, we’ve created a community, and I’ve absolutely fallen in love with the place.
That wasn’t something I could have written into a business plan.

It’s made me smile, given me a sense of belonging and helped me work out what actually makes me happy.

Thank you to everyone who’s been part of that. You probably don’t realise how much it means to me. ❤️ Yesterday I organised a wrap party to say thank you to our staff team and friends of Bondville, and you could feel the love in the air, that might sound corny but it’s completely true

We are now closed for the Autumn/Winter months but I promise we will look after this special place with care and attention, and when we come back in March we will be better than you have ever seen us 😊❤️
