What a wonderful weekend of nostalgia and 1940s life on the Home Front at Avoncroft Museum! 🇬🇧❤️

This weekend is so special to everyone who attends, works at and performs at the event. It has such a wonderfully relaxed, friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

We are always delighted to see familiar faces returning year after year, and equally thrilled to welcome new visitors of all generations who enthusiastically embrace and enjoy the event.

So, a huge thank you goes out to:

🎖️ The dedicated 1940s re-enactment groups and individuals, whose passion and commitment to researching their specialist subjects goes above and beyond. It is so evident in the wonderful displays, talks and scenarios they create.

🚙 The vehicle owners, who travel from far and wide, bringing their incredible and much-loved vehicles for everyone to see, enjoy and experience.

🛍️ The vintage traders, who carefully curate and display their wonderful collections, creating a truly fabulous vintage village.

🎶💃 The wonderful array of acts, singers, dancers and models, who sang, danced and strutted their way through the weekend, all expertly coordinated by our fantastic 1940s DJ, Guy Rolls.

👏 Our amazing volunteers and staff, who worked tirelessly throughout the weekend, keeping the wheels oiled and turning and making sure everything was ready, organised and running as smoothly as possible.

☕🍺🍔 And finally, our wonderful, supportive and enthusiastic visitors. Thank you for supporting independent Avoncroft by buying your tickets, enjoying cups of tea, pints of b**r and plenty of food. Every penny raised at this event goes towards the running costs of the museum, so your support really does make a difference.

In conjunction with our 1940s On The Home Front daytime event this weekend, we are pleased to present an exceptional evening of entertainment at our 1940s War Time Village Hall Dance on Saturday from 7pm to 11pm. The evening's proceedings will be expertly hosted by the esteemed Guy Rolls from 's Jumpin' Boogie, who will also be spinning classic tunes between our live performances.

To get the evening underway, Sarah and her team from Waterside Dance will lead a dance tutorial, inviting all to participate or simply observe. We are thrilled to welcome the renowned Pat Reyford, also known as Sugar Ray Ford from Sugar Ray’s Flying Fortress Orchestra, whose illustrious musical career is truly legendary. This year, we are delighted to feature Shannon - The Vocalist as our headline act for the evening dance.

Coffee, cake and snacks will be available to buy and Bars on the Run will be mixing the cocktails and pouring the drinks !

Oh did we mention the venue it is to be held under the stunning under the 14 Century Beams of New Guesten Hall at Avoncroft Museum.

Step back in time as Avoncroft Museum turns the clock back to the 1940s for one of the Midlands' most popular weekends.

Across our 19-acre site, visitors can immerse themselves in wartime Britain with authentic military and civilian re-enactments, historic vehicles, live entertainment, vintage shopping, family activities and displays that bring both the Home Front and Frontline vividly to life.

Supporting all the event along with our reenactors and traders and dancers we have a full schedule of entertainers on both days.

We are delighted to be welcoming over the two days, Guy Rolls as Guy's Jumpin' Boogie 1940s DJ sets, Joe James Thomas Music as George Formby Tribute, and wonderful Vocalists Pat Reyford, Zakk Dienn - Vocalist and Vintage Class Singers.
