To our wonderful Ceres community, regulars, and friends,

The time has come for our next big family adventure! This Friday (May 29th) will be our final day running The Coffee Shop at Fife Folk Museum. We cannot thank you all enough for your incredible warmth, loyal support, and the countless laughs shared over coffee and cake during our time here. You have truly made running this shop an unforgettable joy.

As we pack our bags and prepare to say goodbye to beautiful Scotland, we would love the chance to see you all one last time. Please pop by the shop this week, or join us for a special farewell gathering this Sunday, 24th May from 16:00 right here at the coffee shop.

Come along and help us give this chapter the send-off it deserves!

With all our love and gratitude,
Callum, Caro, and family ❤️

We’re open today from 10am until 4pm ☕🌿

We’re hoping the nice weather makes an appearance again today — there’s nothing better than sitting by the burn with a coffee and enjoying the peaceful surroundings of Ceres.

Come in, relax, and let us look after you for a while.

It’s now our final full week running the café before we hand over to Rui, Carrie & family.

Next Friday will officially be our last day running the coffee shop, so we just want to say thank you again for all the support, kindness, and memories. It has meant more than you know.

As you maybe aware Callum, Caro and Edelweiss are leaving the Coffee Shop after 18 months with the Museum for pastures new in Colombia. It has been a pleasure working with Callum and Caro and we are sorry to see them leave as they have created a lovely warm and friendly atmosphere and have been a pleasure to work with. We wish them well for their future.

We are looking forward to working with Carrie, Douglas and Rui who will be taking over the running of The Coffee Shop from 1st June and hope that everyone will support them in their new endeavour.

Our next evening talk takes place on Monday June 1st at 7.00pm, when we have the pleasure of welcoming Euan Kinninmonth, Brand Home Manager for Eden Mill Distillery at Guardbridge. He’ll be talking all things whisky, telling us all about distilling along the River Eden, past and present.

Places are free (although a donation towards the upkeep and running of the museum is always appreciated) but numbers are limited so please book by emailing

A Heartfelt Farewell & A New Chapter ☕️✨ Changes Coming June 1st 🙏

To our wonderful community, loyal customers, and friends,

They say that a great coffee shop is more than just a place to get a warm drink—it is the heart of a community. Over the past 18 months, running The Coffee Shop at Fife Folk Museum has been an absolute privilege, and you have made our time here unforgettable.

Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve shared countless laughs, watched our little cafe flourish, and recently even became finalists in the Scottish Business Awards for Best Cafe—a milestone we are so deeply proud of.

But as life often does, it has called our family toward a brand-new adventure. With less than three weeks until we board our flight, we are preparing to relocate our family to Colombia.
While it is incredibly hard to say goodbye to this beautiful location and the daily rhythm of the village, we are leaving with complete peace of mind.

We are overjoyed to share that following a wonderful agreement with the museum trustees, the coffee shop is being passed directly into the hands of Carrie and her family.

As we enter this handover period, our absolute priority is to ensure there is very little disruption to the coffee shop's opening hours. Carrie and our incredible team have been the backbone of everything we’ve achieved here, and we are expecting a beautifully smooth transfer.

They know your names, your favourite orders, and they share the exact same love for this space that we do. We are so excited to see the creativity, energy, and dedication they will bring to take the cafe to even greater heights.

To our team: thank you for your hard work and devotion.

To our customers: thank you for opening your arms to us, for the chats across the counter, and for making this cafe a true home away from home.

We will miss managing this special place dearly, but we cannot wait to walk back through these doors as customers ourselves when we return to visit the UK. Please continue to support Carrie and the family as they begin this beautiful new chapter.

With our deepest gratitude,
Callum, Caro, and family ❤️

Our salads are back… and better than ever! 🥗☀️
After being so popular last year, we knew we had to bring them back — this time using only the best, most authentic ingredients to really elevate them.

🥗 Greek Salad — made with authentic Greek feta, olives, extra virgin olive oil, tomato, cucumber, red onion, and wild rocket, finished with a red wine vinegar dressing and topped with a generous dollop of hummus. Fresh, vibrant, and full of flavour.

🥗 Classic Caesar Salad (new for this year) — roast chicken, crispy bacon pieces, and crisp lettuce, all topped with a rich, classic Caesar dressing.

Simple, satisfying, and done properly.
Perfect for the lighter days ahead — come and give them a try! ☕🌿 Open 10am until 4pm, last food orders 15:15.
