🕐 Part-time hours 10-20 hours average, a weekend shift required. No nights, we are a 7-day a week daytime cafe.

Next up in the I SAW THIS ARTIST AT SURREY OPEN STUDIOS THAT YOU REALLY NEED TO SEE…. Let me introduce you to the mind boggling talent of Shilpa at Shilpa Shenoy | Mandala Artist ! Every one of these mandalas are painted by hand - yes she has the videos to prove it, go check out her site.

How lucky am I to go see an art collection and say yes, I will take all of that thank you. Then I get to see it every day! I just love these meditative pieces of art that bring such joy and delight for the eyes. By the way I can make that experience happen for you too - come pick your favourite and we will wrap it up for you to take home and enjoy in your space.

A proper taste of New Orleans is coming to Guildford! 🎺

The Alvar Tree Frogs return to the beautiful courtyard of Abbot’s Hospital for an afternoon of joyful, swinging New Orleans jazz inspired by the music that filled the streets of the city in the 1920s, 30s and 40s.

Come along, bring a picnic chair or rug, and settle in for some seriously infectious jazz.

Welcome Sarah Watkinson Art to the gallery this week with her original oil paintings and antique frames! Look for the gold showing through from her under painting technique in some of these. Oh do we have something special for you starting this week Guildford! I met these two amazing women at the Surrey Artist Open Studios - you may remember seeing me post about Wey Ceramics Society and the stunning collective of artists involved. Lin and Kasia have their own collaboration called linka_pottery we are thrilled to introduce you to.

These are so lovingly made and finished, with stunning detail and glaze work in their functional pottery I know you will be as excited as me to see them. The addition of hand turned wood lids and handles or embedded coin surprises make some of them even more stunning.

Very well priced these are amazing gift ideas or an addition to your own kitchen! Must come see quick - I don’t expect them to last long. In the window, on the center shelves and a few at the back. Come explore and choose your favourite. I already have some of mine…
