What a summer it's been! ☀️ Thank you to everyone who joined in our Lightbulb Summer events! We loved seeing you unleash your creativity at Redbrick Builders club, getting curious at Bug Detectives, and bringing out the dance moves at our Family Festival!

🖌️Coming up this autumn: Drypoint Etching Workshops!

Have you ever tried drypoint etching? Now is your chance at our drypoint etching sessions running from September to October.

Inspired by the remarkable works featured in our exhibition Making A Mark: Artworks From the Studio Prints Collection, artist Tony O'Connell (Liverpool Independent Art School) will help you:

- discover a range of traditional techniques
- learn how to create your own expressive prints using drypoint
- explore processes including intaglio printing and chine collé

Suitable for beginners and those with some experience, these hands-on workshops offer the opportunity to experiment, develop your skills, and take inspiration from the exhibition's diverse collection of contemporary prints, which include work by Lucian Freud.

DJ & MC Experience is coming this Tuesday with special guests Decks in the City! 🎧

Join Decks in the City for a hands-on introduction to DJing. Get behind the decks, explore professional equipment, learn the basics of mixing and have a go for yourself in a relaxed and supportive space.

At the same time, you can explore the role of an MC through spoken word, rhythm and performance. Try writing simple rhymes and then get crafty and design your own microphone which you can then use to build confidence expressing yourself in front of others.
