✨ Behind the scenes of gallery planning! ✨

Recently our Young Curators made gallery maquettes. They are absolutely wonderful.

Working with artists Harry Garner and Cath Woods the group went beyond just design and aesthetics as they create their mini galleries. Each group has really considered the full gallery experience, from help desks and information sheets to interactive displays, children’s activity spaces, and even fire risk assessments complete with mini extinguishers!

We’re so excited to see how these thoughtful ideas develop as we move towards planning the final exhibition with the young curators. Watch this space… 👀🎉

📚✨ When is a book not a book? When it’s a tree stump! 🌳

Exhibiting artist Julie Dodd takes us behind the scenes of her incredible book tree stump sculptures, transforming old books into beautifully detailed works of art. We love how something familiar has been turned into something unexpected ✨

Come and see them in person at Kirkby Gallery! Entry is Free.
