There’s still time to secure your place for Hearts, Minds and Airspace: Air Power, Humanitarianism and Counterinsurgency, taking place at RAF Museum London on 10–11 September.

Across two days, historians, academics and defence specialists will explore the relationship between Air Power, humanitarianism and counterinsurgency.

🎤 Keynote speaker Dr Edward Burke will examine RAF counterinsurgency operations in South Arabia and Oman during the 1950s.

We’re one month into the Red Arrows Challenge 🔴⚪🔵, and we’ve got some fantastic milestones to celebrate! 🎉

Firstly, we would like to say a huge thank you to our incredible participants who are taking part from around the UK 🇬🇧, as well as New Zealand 🇳🇿, the Netherlands 🇳🇱 and Spain 🇪🇸, including members of the Armed Forces and even the Red Arrows Circus team! 💙✈️

💷 Over £2,400 has been raised so far. 🙌 Your fundraising will support the work of the RAF Museum, whether that’s improving collection handling for our visitors, or helping us develop and deliver talks, both onsite and online.

Participants who raise £50 or more will also receive a special Red Arrows thank you pack 🎁 in recognition of their fantastic support.

🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️Participants have so far clocked up over 3,600km. That’s the equivalent of travelling from the RAF Museum Midlands all the way to the Great Pyramid of Giza!

If you would like to take part, there’s still plenty of time to get involved! The challenge runs until 3 October, the same day the RAF Red Arrows wrap up their flying season. ✈️❤️

🧱 Follow our FREE Brick Journeys trail and hunt down 19 amazing brick-built creations across the Museum – then get creative at our brick-building station.

🚁 On Thursday 27 August, you can even climb aboard our legendary Sea King helicopter with one of our special Aircraft Access sessions. Additional charge and booking required.

🛝 Little aviators can burn off some energy in our FREE outdoor aviation-themed playground, or head inside for more high-flying fun at AeroPlay! soft play. Additional charge applies for AeroPlay!
