🏳️‍🌈Join us tomorrow at the RAF Museum London for Pride in Service Day – a free commemoration of LGBT+ personnel and LGBT+ veterans' contributions to the Armed Forces, featuring a vibrant programme of performances, storytelling, art and community activities.

Explore veteran artist David Tovey's powerful new exhibition, The Echoes and Shadows of Identity, created with LGBT+ veterans and serving personnel which was commissioned to mark the 25th anniversary of the repeal of the Armed Forces' 'gay ban'.

Take part in our Serving with Pride collections trail, uncovering personal stories from RAF history, and enjoy performances from the London Gay Men's Chorus, Europe's largest LGBT+ choir. 🎶

Hear moving accounts from theatre maker Tom Marshman and actor-playwright Jon Hague, whose acclaimed solo play At War with Myself reflects on serving during the years of the ban. The day concludes with songs and stand-up from Clare Summerskill, described by BBC Radio 4 as "a le***an Victoria Wood". 🌈

We'll also be welcoming fundraising cyclists from Fighting with Pride as they complete their Brighton-to-London ride in support of LGBT+ veterans.

Many activities can still be booked, so there's still time to join us. We look forward to welcoming LGBT+ visitors, veterans, families, friends and allies for a day of reflection, commemoration and pride.

Join us, this Sunday at approximately 2.00pm, in giving a warm welcome to Ian McIver as he completes an extraordinary 1,800-kilometre cycling journey across six countries in honour of his great-uncle, Flying Officer Thomas “Tim” Hayward Parrott of No. 77 Squadron RAF.

Tim was just 23 years old when he was shot down and killed in May 1940 during the opening phase of the bombing campaign against Germany.

During his short but remarkable service, he flew operations from the very first days of the Second World War, was Mentioned in Dispatches, and became part of an extraordinary wartime escape story that continues to inspire today.

Ian’s 16-day ride not only retraces Tim’s wartime journey but also raises vital funds and awareness for Fighting with Pride, the charity supporting LGBTQ+ veterans.

Please drop in and show your support for Ian's incredible achievement, and join us in remembering Flying Officer Thomas "Tim" Hayward Parrott, whose courage and sacrifice continue to inspire more than 80 years later.
