Welcome to our new Black History Season Series, Hidden Histories of Camden ๐Ÿ”Ž๐Ÿ›๏ธ

Throughout this series weโ€™ll be exploring the people, stories and exhibits that bring Camdenโ€™s Black history to life, celebrating the remarkable residents whose contributions help shape the borough we know today.

Although Black History Month is at the half-way point for the UK, here in Camden, we are just getting started. Join us as we celebrate their achievements, honour their legacies, and shine a light on stories that deserve to be remembered.

To launch Hidden Histories of Camden, weโ€™re shining a spotlight๐Ÿ”ฆ on Dr Akyaaba Addai-Sebo, the founder of UK Black History Month. His determination to ensure that Black achievements, contributions and histories were recognised helped generations learn, celebrate and take pride in Black History.

His legacy is a powerful reminder that history is made by those who dare to change it.

Dr Akyaaba Addai-Sebo's story is just the beginning. Follow along as we uncover more Hidden Histories of Camden and celebrate the Black residents who helped shape our borough.

Who should we feature next? ๐Ÿ’ญLet us know in the comments. ๐Ÿ‘‡
