There are currently a few spaces in these well established, popular classes, taking place fortnightly on a Wednesday and a Thursday evening. There is no experience necessary, no pressure to “perform”,
it’s about connection, creativity, community, and
communication. Experiment with story telling, writing in response to a stimulus, playing with words. Why not try something new at our lush new creative space across the road at Art On The Edge? Contact the number on the poster below for more info or to book in.

Just a quick message to say that this weekend, starting on Friday 9th October, at Art on the Edge (The old Gwent Picture Framing Shop) great things are happening. Friday 1 untill 5 pm the lovely Louise Horton will be hosting a free drop in session where adults can explore like children. All materials provided. Come and have a bash. Later on on Friday, from 7 until 9 pm there will be open mic / spoken word with the talented Katy Arnell.

On Saturday, the experienced Heidi Mehta and Janet Chaplin will be hosting two print making workshops which you can try tetra pack and screenprint your own t shirt (bring your own) from 10am until 4 pm.

To top it all off, on Sunday afternoon from 2pm, there will be an opportunity to view some new and original work made by art on the edge members and also the chance to meet the artists and chat about the work if you wish.

The idea of this weekend, is to introduce you to all that ART ON THE EDGE offers. It's early days, but theres loads more to come in the future. Oh...! and this weeeknd will cost you nothing.

Would you like to have a go at screen printing your own T-shirt? There will be live demonstrations all afternoon from 1–4 p.m Art on the Edge Newport and a fun opportunity to try it yourself. Pre-loved T-shirts will be available for you to print and take away, but please feel free to bring your own. You will also have an opportunity to design your own poster and take it home—a full afternoon of fun activities.

🎨 TUESDAY NIGHT PORTRAITURE 🎨

Join me this coming Tuesday evening in the downstairs hall of Barnabas arts house for a session of sketching from a lovely live portrait sitter!

All levels of ability and experience are welcome. Tutoring on hand as and when you need it!

Great chance to meet like minded arty folk, hone your drawing skills and grab yourself a cuppa!

All basic drawing materials, easels, drawing boards and paper are provided.

Class runs from 6-9PM, £20 drop in!
